How to make the best tasting corn on the cob

The best tasting corn on the cob is cooked on the barbie.  Leave the husks on.
Soak in cold water 20 mins before cooking.  Use a plate or something heavy to hold them under water.
You now have 20mins to wait, so why not make some potato packs.  You need a couple potatoes, garlic salt, margarine(works best), chives.
Slice up your taters.
Put on non-stick tin foil, sprinkle with as much garlic salt as you want, and chives.
Fold sides over, do not pinch foil together

Fold in ends too.

Always make more than you need. They are so good the next day.

Put them all on the Barbie, cook for 20 mins rotating half way thru.
They look burnt but they are safe inside their cocoons.  I put everything in the oven to keep warm while we cook the burgers.  Now enjoy!

The last gate

Finishing the last gate.  It's been a year since we put up the fence.  Then winter came and we just ran out of time.
Then we will be iggy ready!

First cut....I took off a tooth on our brand new saw 😞😣
Appenently the new saw had movable fence guide that the last one did not.
That's where I tried to saw thru it lol.  NOTE TO SELF.......Always read the manual, even if you have used that type of equipment before.  Same company, same model...newer version=big mistake!!!!
Almost done! 😊😊

Staining stars

So I'm kinda nervous and also excited.  First is the dusting. Here's my awesome husband who did a lot of the sanding, probably more than me.
Then comes the pre-stain wood conditioner...

Next the stain....
Ok so it looks like years ago, something got spilled down the steps which made the wood softer in those areas, so it really sucked up the stain.  This could not be foreseen, there was no indication of any kind of marks at all before the we applied the stain.
What to do, what to do??!!&#*😳 After we recovered from the panic induced freak out.  Hubby called his wonderful brother, doer, and builder, fixer of many things.  His suggestion use tiny bits of steal wool on dark spots then touch up lightly with stain...... The result......
Spots be gone....it's a little dark now but should lighten as it dries....will cured pictures in a few days.
